Engineer (Auxiliary and Control Systems)

McKean Defense is seeking an Engineer to support U.S. Navy Auxiliary and Fluid Automation Systems. The Engineer may be responsible for technical support for programmable logic controllers (PLCs), supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) systems, machinery control systems, Tank Level Indicators (TLIs), and ruggedization/prototyping of controls, and input/output devices; and valves and actuators. Duties may include:
- Provide in-service engineering support and technical analysis, inspection, troubleshooting and repair support for assigned systems.
- Testing support, both in lab and shipboard.
- Develop and review technical documentation associated with assigned systems.
- Provide solutions and recommendations for system design and new product development.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to obtain/maintain a DoD Secret security clearance
Ability to Travel as required (up to 30%)
BS Degree in Engineering
Prior Navy HM&E system experience is a plus, but not required
