Engineer (Navigation Systems)

McKean Defense is seeking an Engineer to support Hull, Mechanical, and Electrical (HM&E) systems aboard US Navy ships. Responsibilities to include system testing, troubleshooting, operation, and maintenance; development and review of technical documentation such as engineering drawings, ship change documents (SCDs), and test procedures; project planning to include budgeting and scheduling.
BS Degree in Engineering
Excellent communication, both written and verbaCandidate must have active Secret clearance, or be clearable.
5 years engineering experience in support of US Navy
Navigation systems experience is preferred. This could include (but not limited to) Integrated Bridge Systems (IBS), Voyage Management System (VMS), Electronic Chart Display and Information System (ECDIS-N).
Experience with development and review of technical documentation to include engineering drawings and test procedures.
Knowledge of Navy programs, organizations, functions, and responsibilities
Travel up to 25% of the time
