MATLAB/Simulink Development Engineer

McKean is seeking a MATLAB/Simulink Development Engineer to work with software development for Navy machinery control systems/products. The position will focus on using software tools for modeling of new systems and duplication of existing systems for issue identification and resolution, upgrade feasibility and proof-of-concept, and new design analysis.
- Utilize MATLAB/Simulink, and/or LABVIEW to participate in the development of embedded software within control systems.
- Troubleshoot and correct software issues
- Develop and test controls software
- Updating and developing documentation for models, designs, and tests
CompTIA Security+ Certification is a plus
Windows or Linux OS Certification(s) is a plus
Candidate shall have the ability to obtain a Security Clearance
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (preferably Electrical or Computer), or Computer Science
Minimum Five (5) years of professional engineering experience; over 10 years is preferred
Two (2) or more years of professional experience using MATLAB/Simulink and/or LABVIEW for modeling, testing, and designing systems.
